William Piazza

William John Piazza, 60, of Bridgeport passed away on June 19, 2022 after a yearlong battle with Cancer. Born on October 14, 1961 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of Betty (Mills) Piazza and the late John Piazza.

Billy was born and raised in Bridgeport, CT. In 1979 he joined the Marine Corp and spent 6 years (1979-1985) proudly serving his country. He lived on base at Camp Pendleton, California and spent time stationed in places such as the Philippines and Okinawa, Japan. During his time in the service he was a rifle sharp shooter and received a C service deployment ribbon.  He was a lover of technology and all things artistic but music was his lifelong passion. Some of his greatest moments were spent with a guitar in his hands.

Billy is survived by his mother and best friend Betty Joan Piazza of New York City, 4 sons: Joseph Buchanan (Caitlin), John Piazza, Michael Piazza, Daniel Piazza, 1 grandson Benji, and the mother of his children Katherine Buchanan all of California. He is also survived by his sister Beth Ann Piazza of Bridgeport and his brother James Piazza Sr. (Monique) of Hawaii as well as nieces, nephews, and great nephews. He was predeceased by his father John Piazza.

Friends and family may call on July 2, 2022 from 2pm – 5pm at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. Military Honors will be served. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home or family.
