Teresa Salzillo

Teresa (Golino) Salzillo, age 89, of Milford, beloved wife of Anthony Salzillo, passed away on April 14, 2024. Born on December 3, 1934, in Marcianise Caserta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Golino and Maria Giuseppa Mezzacapo.

In 1954, Teresa met and married her husband Anthony, while he was in the service overseas.  Since then, the couple have been together for nearly 70 years. When Teresa came to America, she became a citizen.  They resided in East Harlem and then the Bronx.  She currently resided in Connecticut since 1988 where she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Teresa was a very kind, warm, loving person who was loved by all who came into contact with her.

Teresa is survived by her children Joseph and Christina (Imperio) Salzillo, Angelo and Maryann (Varrone) Salzillo, Anthony Salzillo Jr., her beloved grandchildren Joseph Salzillo, Michelle (Salzillo) and Philip Marinaccio, Anthony Salzillo, Teresa (Salzillo) and Mark Laoue III, her greatgrandchildren Philip, Michael, and Joseph Marinaccio, her siblings Guiseppe Golino and his wife Chiarita Amoruso, Paolina Golino, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins in both America and Italy. She was predeceased by her brother Antonio Golino and his wife Ebba Scalici, and her brother-in-law Domenico Zarillo.

A visitation to honor Teresa’s memory will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cody White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St, Milford CT 06460 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
