Robert "Bob" Sattler

Robert Louis Sattler, 83, of Milford, beloved husband of 60 years to Carole Sattler, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020. Born on July 4, 1936 in Middleton, MI, he was the son of the late Evart and Pearleen Sattler.   

Bob proudly served in the U. S. Army for 23 years stationed in many places such as Germany, Hawaii, and a tour in Viet Nam. During Bob’s service he received many awards and medals. Bob loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. His favorite vacation was to go on cruises.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Carole; a sibling; sisters-in-law, Audrey Lumis, Barbara (Gerald) Nicoletti, and Darlene Hill; brother-in-law, Elmore “Bud” (Linda) Lumis; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Robin Sattler; and two siblings.

Friends and family may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Social distancing measures will be taken place and masks will be required. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Taylor United Methodist Church at https://www.mtm-umc.org/giving or the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
