Robert William Skok

Robert W. Skok, 73, passed away January 24, 2022 from cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. He was a 100% disabled Veteran. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on March 12, 1948, he was the son of Isadore and Olive Skok.

When Bob was an infant, his family moved to Milford, CT. Educated in Milford, Bob entered the Army in 1965. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. After the war, he became an Operating Engineer at IUOE Local 478. He retired from United Rentals. For more than 20 years he was a crane operator for McClinch Crane in Fairfield, CT. Throughout his life, he enjoyed boating and fishing, along with hunting, especially with his son.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Kathleen McMahon Skok and his son, David Skok and his companion Angela Rocca, of North Adams, MA. He will also be remembered by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Paula McMahon, along with his nephews Scott and Patrick (Cheryl) McMahon.

A Military Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT. Memorial contributions may be made online to DAV, or by mail to DAV, Chapter 15, PO Box 3006, Milford, CT 06460.
