Richard J. Talnose

Richard John Talnose, 72, of Milford, beloved husband of Louise Talnose, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2019. Born on March 29, 1947 in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Antonio and Irene (Vincelette) Talnose.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy; he was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard retired from the Milford Police Department and went on to run his own business. He will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to his loving wife, Louise, Richard is survived by his children, Kim Bonfoey and Patrick Daniel Slater; grandchildren, Antonia (Kyle) Sacco, April (Marlon Sweeney) Rhynhart, Venessa Balog, and Karl Balog; many great-grandchildren; sister, Cecelia (Ceil) Flynn; niece and nephews, Peter Fronio, Richard Leahy, Debora Reynolds, Michael Reynolds, and many other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Peter) Fronio and Carol Bonfoey; his close friends, Rick George and Bob Nash; and his beloved dog, Miss Pandy Puss. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jan Marie Rhynhart; son, Charles Russell Slater; sister, Dorothy Leahy; and three brothers.

A Funeral Service followed by Military Honors will be celebrated on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Police Benevolent Association.
