Gloria E. Danza

Gloria E. Danza, 101, peacefully departed on April 14, 2024, in Milford, CT, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 10, 1923, to Rudolph and Christine DeFelice.

She dedicated herself to a fulfilling career, most notably making helicopter parts during WWII at Manning, Maxwell & Moore Manufacturing. Her adventurous spirit led her into the realm of mystery shopping, adding zest to her professional journey.

Married to the late Vincent Danza, Gloria embraced a life marked by resilience and warmth despite the nomadic nature of Navy life. Her home was a sanctuary, where Sunday dinners became cherished rituals. A culinary aficionado and connoisseur of wine, she delighted in creating memorable meals for her loved ones.

Gloria's passions extended to gardening, interior decorating, and the joy of dance. Lunches at Gulf Beach were treasured moments shared with her son. Her elegance and grace were evident in all she did, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate to know her.

She is survived by her devoted son, Rudolph "Rudy" Danza, sister-in-law Joan DeFelice, numerous nieces, nephews, and her extended Danza family in New York. The Trapletti family, lifelong neighbors, held a special place in her heart for their unwavering support and friendship.

Gloria is reunited in eternal peace with her siblings: Alexander and William DeFelice, and Donatina Fronckiewcz, as well as her half-brother, Eddie Carfagna. She is also preceded in death by her beloved niece, Roberta Danza-Levin.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, April 23, 2024  from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St, Milford CT 06460. A Prayer Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. that day at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor Gloria’s memory by spending a special day with your family and always telling them how much you love them.
