Elsie "Ellie" Emily Mizzone

Elsie “Ellie” Mizzone, of Milford entered eternal rest peacefully on August 4, 2020 at Connecticut Hospice after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband, Pasquale “Pat” Mizzone. She is survived by her children, Susan Bot and Thomas Parziale and by her special son, Pat Mizzone. 

Ellie enjoyed playing cards, watching UCONN Women’s basketball, watching Jeopardy, and visiting with her neighbors. She loved spending time her grandchildren, especially Courtney, with whom she was particularly close but nothing brought her more joy than time with her great grandchildren, Johnny, Ava, Hunter, Hannah and Michael. Ellie was better known as “Nan” to all of her grandkid’s friends, she called them her “other grandkids”. Nan got the greatest joy in life watching Johnny, Ava, and Hunter play all of their sports and activities. She rarely missed an opportunity to be there to support them in whatever activity was going on at the time. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended “grandkids” dearly. The family would like to thank the amazing nurses at Connecticut Hospice, especially Tara and Gina. They would also like to thank those who spent countless hours by her bedside the last week with stories, positive thoughts, and a shoulder to cry on.

Family and friends may call on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Social distancing and masks will be required. Due to gathering size limitations, only 25 people will be allowed inside at a time. Interment will be private.
