Ellen Acampora

Ellen Theresa Acampora, 89, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Elias J. Acampora, passed away on April 13, 2021. Ellen was born on September 12, 1931 in the Bronx, NY to the late Ernest Downs and Josephine Santora and Peter Santora her step-father.

Ellen worked for many years as a waitress in Milford at several restaurants and as a cafeteria worker for the Milford Board of Education. She was an avid walker and reader and enjoyed outings with her friends. Ellen cherished every moment that she spend with her grandchildren.

Ellen is survived by her son, David E. (Janet) Acampora; daughter, Theresa A. Mester; grandchildren, Joseph (Emily Cook) Mester, Nicole (Andrew) Korb, Samantha Acampora and Jacob Acampora; and several nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her siblings, Madeline Hart and Joseph Santora; and her son-in-law, Paul E. Mester.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a walk-through wake on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Masks and social distancing will be required. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. Interment will be private.
