Dorothy Hemming

Dorothy Hemming, 102, of Milford, loving wife for 72 years to the late Howard Hemming, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2021. Dorothy was born on September 11, 1919 to the late George D. and Grace Gallager Hall.

Dorothy was employed as an administrator assistant at Page Motor Company and the City of Milford. During WWII, Dorothy was active as an Air Raid Warden. Later on, Dorothy was involved at Day Prospect School for Girls in New Haven where her daughters attended.

Dorothy leaves behind her daughters, Gail K. Battista and Sherry Rogers and granddaughter, Tracy L. Stover. In addition to her husband, Howard, who passed in 2014, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jennifer B. Russo, in 2015.

Per Dorothy’s wishes, all services are private. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing may contribute to the Connecticut Humane Society.
