Barbara Richards

Barbara J Richards, age 82, passed away, peacefully, on December 2 2022, at Apple rehab, Laurelwood, in East Haven. She was born September 3 1940, in Bridgeport, Ct, to Jack Kaminski and Wanda Guerra. After College, she married the love of her life, Robert W Richards, who preceded her in death, in 1989.

Barbara was a teacher at heart, whether at home, to her 2 boys, or at Saint Mary’s School where she taught for nearly 40 years. She left a bit of herself with everyone she touched. Barbara’s pride and joy were her sons, Robby and Scotty. The boys, as she called them, gave her 4 grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Barbara had a large extended family, on both sides, whom she cherished to the end. Barbara was also like a second mother to many of her son’s friends. She was always warm and inviting.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Robert W Richards, her brother John Kaminski, and a stepbrother Joe Nester. Barbara is survived by her sons, Robert and Scott Richards, as well as her grandchildren Connor, Gavin, Erin and Chloe Richards. Barbara is also survived by dozens of cousins, nephews and nieces who meant the world to her.

Please join us in celebrating her life, Saturday morning, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, at Cody-White funeral home, 107 N Broad street, in Milford, CT. Milford. Burial will be private.
