Anthony J. Capodicci

Anthony J. Capodicci, 73, of Milford, passed away on September 12, 2023. Born on February 17, 1950, in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Pasquale “Pat” and Antoinette (Izzo) Capodicci.

Tony, or “Cappy”, as he was affectionately called, graduated Warren Harding High School with the class of 1967 and went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in biology from Sacred Heart University. He provided for his family by managing properties, was an independent real estate agent and appraiser, and could be caught bartending at the Waucoma Yacht Club in New Haven on Friday nights. Tony was an avid Yankee fan who also loved boating and fishing. He was a past commodore of the East End Yacht Club in Bridgeport and enjoyed his days boating and hanging out there. Anthony had a passion for food and drink and collaborated with friends to create “Parkwood Cellars” so they could bring fantastic wine to the glasses of family and friends.  

Tony is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Joe) Federico; grandchildren, Joey Santino and Anthony James Federico; life partner, Carol Cennamo; stepchildren, Danielle Lamey, Jaime (Justin) Kelly and Gene Marini; step-grandchildren, Charlie, Adelaide and Olivia Lamey, and Owen and Hayes Kelly; sisters, JoAnn (Bill) Smart and Flo Mercer; and his niece and nephew, Billy Smart and Myla Mercer, and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Yale Hematology Oncology and Neuro ICU for their compassionate care.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Friday, September 22 from 5pm to 9pm at East End Yacht Club 104 Bay St., Bridgeport, CT. A Memorial Service will take place at 7:30pm at the Club. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Save the Sound at savethesound.org or consider sharing a drink with a friend and reminiscing of good times.
