Phillip Cantore, 82, of West Haven, beloved husband of the late Joyce Yuhas Cantore, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018. Born on July 11, 1935, in New Haven, CT he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Cantore.

Phillip graduated West Haven High School and obtained his Associates Degree from the University of New Haven. He began his career at Sargent Mfg in New Haven and went on to Audio Devices in Stamford where he was Director of Marketing for the Far East. Eventually, later in life, Phillip became an entrepreneur. He enjoyed traveling, having been all over the world. He also enjoyed gardening, good food and good wine, and most importantly family.

Phillip is survived by his son, Phillip M. Cantore and wife Kathryn of Oxford, CT; his daughter, Beth-Ann Mathews and husband Timothy from Chelmsford, MA; and four grandchildren, Kelsey Cantore, Abigail Mathews, Brian Cantore and Megan Mathews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Cantore and his son, Mark A. Cantore.

Friends and family may call from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham, Ave., Milford, CT.
