Marie L. Goodin, 87, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Albert Goodin, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2017. Born on December 3, 1929 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ethel Williams Bartram.

After her retirement from CT Light and Power in Devon, Marie went to business school to be a travel agent. She then moved to Florida to live with her sister while working for Disney Travel in Orlando. When she retired from Disney, Marie moved back to CT to be closer to her daughters. Marie volunteered at the Fire House Gallery and the CT Audubon Society, both in Milford. Marie had many cats throughout the years and loved being around any animals. She also enjoyed gardening and had flower gardens that her cats loved to play in. She had a love of art and painting and left her family with many paintings that they will cherish for years to come. The last year of her life was spent living at Gardner Heights in Shelton. Marie and the other residents thoroughly enjoyed when her daughter brought her dog in to visit.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Gail (Ed) Homick of Shelton and Lynn Ward of Moodus; grandson, Douglas (Amy) Clark; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Ryan Clark; and sister, Irene Himmelberger of Kissimmee, FL. Marie was predeceased by her brothers, George, Robert and Theodore Bartram.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. for a Graveside Service at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Audubon Society Coastal Center, 1 Milford Point Rd., Milford, CT 06460 or Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
